Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

2017 Resolution

My number one resolution for this year is to leave Honeywell. Just saying it out loud relieves my blood pressure. It it hard to give up on the idea of retiring from Honeywell. I have given it my all and was truly a dedicated employee for almost 9 years. It feels good to write this and vent a little. I am exited and looking forward to many new adventures outside of this toxic company. God bless all of you and wish you the best of luck.

Its really sad what this company has become. HW used to pride itself on the strength of its employees, now they have nothing but disdain and contempt for employees. cut headcount, cut benefits, pile the workload on the remaining team until they break. Its now a really terrible company to work for. I would never encourage anyone to take at job at HW anymore,

My resolution for this year as well - find another job and leave! OR should I say it is one of my goals and objectives?

The company is a joke - would like to use other more expressive language but post would get deleted / removed. How can any of you even consider working for a fortune 100 company that offers zero benefits with incredible deductibles? Oh wait yea now you have unlimited vacation - ROFL - Oh and now no vision or dental? There is life after Honeywell - great jobs with companies that actually value their employees! Leave and don't look back, you'll be much happier!

I've been at Sperry Honeywell for 35 years. I'm trying to stick out 3 more years to retire, but this place is killing me. Maybe I should start worrying about NOT being laid off.......

I'm with you, if a better option comes along where a company actually cares for their employees I'll take it! It's sad knowing so many of my coworkers taking pills for depression and anxiety because of the extreme push to achieve x amount of save and x amount of spend, with no actual incentives or words of encouragement, it's either get it done or you're RIFd

I've been here for 28 years, and would LOVE TO do the same, but I'm going to try to ride it out for a few more years until my kids are out of college. But as on of my coworkers says when ask when he will retire, he says that he's just "one bad day" away from pulling the ejection cord!
