I have only been with this company for little time but seem to me it very badly managed. Much worse than other Schlumberger location. I'm told it used to be very better. Think I made big mistake coming here. Please give your thoughts.

I tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. Too many good places in town to work. Mubea, Mazak, Eagle just to name a few. Poorly managed doesn't begin to describe this place.
Had a friend that asked me about an engineering job that has been on Indeed for a long time for the Florence plant. He is an excellent mechanical engineer with oilfield experience. I talked him out of applying by telling him how bad this place has gotten over the past couple of years. I would never want to see a friend get s---ed into this dump.
I used to tell my friends how good this place was to work at. Now I've made a 180 turn. I would never suggest anyone accept a job at this place. Wonder if it's this bad at other Schlumberger plants or just Florence Kentucky?

well if you can stand it here, s--- them dry with your great salary. save as much as you can so that you can find a job you love when it becomes unbearable to walk in these doors.

I wish Sweco still had a president! All we have now is center manager that is a Schlumbot. Face it, any good days are gone. Get out and search for new employment. If you are young - go find someplace you don't dread going to everyday. Find a place where you are appreciated. Get out before you are like so many of us that thought we'd retire from this place, and you feel stuck.
Are you an engineer making that kind of money? I've been around a while andI make no where near that.
I work in the oilfield division (office) in Florence and make $100k+. And I'm not a manager so I like that part but I agree that this place is poorly managed. Hourly workers are treated poorly and management is only concerned with bonus money. Product is poorly designed and poor quality on everything. Pretty sad but pay is excellent for office folks so we don't want to rock the boat.
When your company president announces on Wednesday that there will be no furloughs for Sweco and then you get a company-wide email on Thursday saying furloughs are mandatory for all employees, what is the purpose of having a president?

Go with your gut. You see how miserable people are. Do you want to stick around till you dread getting up in the morning like many of us do? It's not worth it. Jump ship and find some happiness.

lol. Yeah you made a monumental mistake! This place is so full of incompetence it boggles the mind. Unsafe, non-existent quality, people who absolutely DO NOT CARE anymore. People are simply there to collect a paycheck. Back when it was Sweco it was the best place to work in the entire area. Schlumberger buys it and systematically destroyed it. Do like I did and find another job. This place will never improve as long as SLB owns it.
