Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Are you guys all on drugs? What technical secrets could they possibly give away? They are 30 years behind on everything.

Honeywell isn't a tech company, they have nothing innovative to offer.

Trump will fix everything, just like he claims he did with Sprint. Never mind that they announced bringing the jobs back before the election.

Ronald Regan and John Kennedy would never have allowed corporations to move so much technology to other countries....we are all just feeble idiots to let it happen in the name of the all mighty dollar.

Let's just let Honeywell give away all our technical secrets to other countries so the next time we have to stand and fight the floor will be equal......Who do you think makes all those smart bomb controllers and F16 guidance systems......to hell with it just being a job thing kiddies.........Corporate America is selling away our future...

Good advice. Come what may strongly resist the urge to think of yourself as a victim. Life isn't fair. Don't let your reaction to it make things worse. I know, easier said than done but make the effort.

Well said. I'm a vet, been at Hon and all the other banners since 1981, laid off in 82 and rehired. Seen many changes and heard many people winning litigation due to age discrimination suits. I'm sure Hon has many lawyers that make it difficult for us workers to win much of anything. I wouldn't risk my savings to push it.

I've prepared financially and could go at anytime but why give up a paycheck I know I couldn't replace? I want two more years if I can get it and if not, no big deal.

I know veterans who served this country with distinction who are being screwed over by the executive management. They would switch jobs, but being of late middle age to over 50 that makes jumping ship not that easy. These vets have spouses and dependents who require medical coverage, and now they have to make a choice of just how much of mismanagement they will endure before leaving. This will male Honeywell worse off.
