Q4 Furlough?

Any news at all? The consensus seems to be that they would have announced by now.

2017 holiday calendar not released because Good Friday holiday will be eliminated. 12 vs. 13 holidays next year. Want to release at the same time as the new unlimited vacation policy to make it seem as if employees are getting a good benefit and not another take away, but leadership can't figure out how to administer the new vacation policy. So there is no announcement yet.

Mark the date for the 6th of December 2016 where the next RIF is expected. With more cuts in the work force and higher expectations, would really wonder what will happen next

No 2017 Holiday calendar cuz the person that used to put it together was RIFed.

I think that the lack of 2017 Holiday calendar is in line with speculation of possible changes: 1) HON will take away 3 Holidays and 2) "Unlimited Vacation" - meaning no vacation accrual, "one takes what their need". Again this is just a speculation...

Thought that was strange that you can search the entire HON network, no 2017 Calendar is yet available. Those are usually out way in advance, sometimes even 2 yrs out.

Looking at the timing of previous announcements going back to the Jan 2010 furlough, I think we're looking at first week of January 2017. It would also explain why we don't have an official 2017 calendar yet. If Jan 2 was going to be a holiday, that would screw up the furlough. Also they need to figure out when to walk out anyone impacted by the current RIF.

CFO of Aerospace, Travis Chester, stated they prefer doing a rif at the beginning of the quarter/year to save the most money.

Have a feeling the furlough will be in JAN, which is typically slow when we come back from the holidays anyways.
