Any details about the furlough? If there is one, is it only for indirect employees?

x-mas / new year week has crazy shipping for year end. Don't need the entire site, but do need some key folks to come in. Not really a take away because everyone was supposed to use up their Floating Holiday much earlier in the year. Now we have about 5 weeks left to burn up our vacation.
We will NOT make the numbers there WILL be a furlough in Q4

If the designated holidays between December 26 and 30 are changed to furlough, that is taking away employee paid time off outside of corporate policy, a reduction of 13 to 8 paid holidays. While it might make business sense to do that, it would cause a greater uproar among the people. At least when you are furloughed you get the time. This would just be a holiday take away. As it is the late furlough timing will cause some employees to lose vacation time with no carryover. Looks like we are heading in that direction. They already know we are over the "ragged edge."
isc townhall was just scheduled for week of dec 5, which negates, to some extent, furlough that week unless isc takes it later or earlier.
Doesn't it make good business sense that if a furlough is needed before end of year it would be the week between Christmas and New Years since everyone is usually off anyway?

When you say, 'next Friday' what do you mean 11/18 or 11/25/16?
Yeap, they have until next Friday to send the email to all employees letting them know that the furlough will take place. Else, they will simply move it to January.

They usually send the furlough notification two weeks before it takes place. So, our guesstimate is: from december 5th to the 18th (two weeks...s---s to be us huh?).
Therefore...they have until next Friday to notify the employees about it.
If we don't receive anything before next Friday...then the furlough will NOT take place in Q4.
RIF is coming via email couples weeks. So is it coming? If not ,then we all safe
