Tucson announcement is due out any day now. Celestica is just working out details with Honeywell based on whathapopened in Torontos transition. Site Leader from Tucson will take over Tempe, which means Temps is next. Deer Valley is on the block too.

Next year vacations go away in a very uinique way. Honeywell will offer you unlimited vacation, so you will not have to be guarenteed any vacation and you will not get paid any owed if you leave.

Next layoff willl happen around the 15th of December and rumor is that the next Furlough will take pace right after thanksgiving

Finally, this past Friday was Veterans day and the president of D&S sent out a e-mail thanking vets, then dilutes it by saying how much Honeywell has contributed to the military effort. Honeywell is a selfish self centered company that never does anything for others if they do not benefit more.

MESSAGE FROM CAREY SMITH – VETERANS DAY NOVEMBER 11, 2016

Dear Aerospace Colleague:

Today is Veterans Day in the United States and it coincides with the celebrations in other countries such as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day – each to honor our veterans. This day was selected as Veterans Day since it is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice which ended World War I between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. So today, please join me in celebrating all men and women who have served in the armed forces and have made the world safer for all of us.

If you are one of the more than 5,000 veterans working at Honeywell, thank you for your service. In addition, Honeywell continues our unwavering support of the many employees who serve their countries as members of the Reserve and National Guard.

We also take pride in the many contributions that Honeywell Aerospace makes to the armed forces of the U.S. and its allies around the world. Our dedicated Defense and Space team develops and delivers industry-leading technologies, products and services that improve mission capabilities, reduce costs, and protect and support the dedicated warfighter in the field.

Please join me in thanking our Honeywell veterans for their service and sacrifice.

Carey Smith

President, Defense & Space

Honeywell Aerospace

How dare she even think Honeywell deserves credit that is copmenserate with that offered to veterans.

Lots of things going on regarding consolidation of the Phx sites across Aero.

Rumor is Tempe will be squeezed into other Phoenix locations but cost of labs is forcing ALT take a second look.

Not heard anything about selling of the sites after Tucson.

Celestica took over Honeywell Mississauga manufacturing in the spring of 2015. That is true but old news here in Canada. And Honeywell is still operating with about 500-600 employees in the Mississauga site.
