I'm hearing the same thing less the furlough thing, not hearing anything regarding a furlough but I wouldn't doubt it

Heard the furlough is still on for Dec. 5, but RIF is postponed until next year with new 2017 severance cap of 13 weeks (1week for each 2 yrs. of service) and no roll over vacation pay. Not sure how they would take away accrued vacation with 150% rule in Calif. Is anyone else hearing this? Hopefully just speculation, I know an ALT e-mail went out this month saying everything was still the same as previous RIF's

We would like to inform you that Intermec by Honeywell has made the decision to consolidate US Customer Service into one centralized location, located in Bucharest, Romania. This change will occur on November 21, 2016.

Quit citing the WARN act!!! you don't know what you are talking about. Yes 60 days is required but in order for that warn to be fully in compliance the indivials who are being impacted are to be notified in writing which includes their separation date a full 60 days in advance. In instances where the employer is. It certain of the exact date, it isn't uncommon where a window ( between two dates) is given and the employee is paid for that period as "in lieu" of the required warn notice.

Honeywell hasn't been in accordance with the law for a very long time . Problem is, your stupid POTIS gave major corps like HON an out. Just omen reason to keep out of the PAC

In Canada you get 8 weeks in lieu of notice.

My lawyer disagrees. They are required by federal law in order to give the employee time to find new employment. Honeywell does not qualify for any of the 3 escape clauses.

does not violate WARN many previous posts show this with documentation.

Pretty sure that would be a violation of the WARN Act which requires 60 day notice. If you're let go in less then 60 days Honeywell is setting themselves up for a lawsuit and can be required to pay out the 4 weeks they'd be short by.
