Timmy's Town Hall

I missed Timmy's Town Hall this morning. Anything interesting? Or did he just borrow Davey's slide deck, spout off his usual generic corporate mumbo jumbo that could be applicable to any business around the world at any given time, and hit a few softballs to his planted question cronies?

When the CEO is also the Charmin of the Board, nothing will change. He is not accountable to anyone. Only the mob.

Love the constructive idea "change in leadership" post! So true. Outer elbow and PIP for them all!!

Another constructive idea- Cote and ALT to take $1 salaries.

Somewhere along the line this corporate culture adopted the 'lead with a stick and not with a carrot' mentality. This is evident in the instance to structure biometrics and smoking as 'penalties' rather than paying out a 'reward'

It would take a giant shift in culture to change that.

I was annoyed to hear Tim say that he can feel our pain and that he is in the same boat that we are all in. He can sit there earning $9 million a year and say with a straight face that he is in the same boat with us. Really?

Constructive ideas. How about a change in leadership. They are failing. If Leadership doesn't know if they need their employees to give up ANOTHER week of pay in the next 7 weeks then that is a fail. They are not doing their job and should all be in the 9 block and on a PIP. It's pathetic that they are either lying to us or they don't know. Either way it's a disgrace.

Constructive ideas?

How about the leadership start treating employees as an asset that they need to take care of and invest in rather than a piggy bank that they can raid and screw over to boost the share price.

How about pay for performance rather than 'how can we pay our employees less'

How about making an effort to boost moral, rather than taking a Cote all over the place.

I see a lot of people whining about Tim and Leadership. I would prefer to see more constructive ideas.

@KbFMgyW-1pno, you have to stock product if you want to sell product just saying.

@KbFMgyW-1hds The doctor is correct. If you listened closely to the Aero town hall, "gas-lighting" was in full force. Aero employees were told that you were on the ragged edge of a furlough. If YOU take orders, and if YOU ship product, there will be no furlough. If there is a furlough, it is YOUR fault. Forget the single sourcing of vendors, forget the 90 - 120 payment terms for vendors, forget that there are not enough planners to track low demand, long lead time parts that Aero is now trying to sell - it will be YOUR fault.

PMT had their town hall too this week. Questions were avoided if they had to do with WFH policy. Get out of HON while you can. I'm trying.

I think Timmy said "relative to" about 1,266 times. And right after him, Carey the Man kept saying it too.

Needless to say, they all think the same way. Relative to the others. Relatively speaking.

@KbFMgyW-omn "gas-lighting" is a way to manipulate people into thinking that they are crazy. An example would be a stalker who breaks into their victim's house, and moves one or two things ever so slightly, and the victim notices. Victim can't put their finger on it, but they know someone has been in their house. Lather, rinse, repeat, and you've got a gas-lighting situation.

If we want to get into formalities, gas-lighting is a form of psychological abuse, and is prevalent in psychopaths. (DSM-V defines them as people with "anti-social personality disorder.")

What a joke!!! I've never heard of a townhall with no Q & A..... LoL Basically if we can pull in some (impossible) shipments there won't be RIF.... It appears the hope is that we will pull out all the stops to make his shipping goals and then tells "Sorry guys.. you didn't quite make it" and Happy Furlough Week and Merry Rifmas!!!!

I looked it up following the TH. Aero has actually had a WFH for a long time.

May or may not have another furlough this year. Timmy stated on the ragged edge and could not say either way yet.

Also around WFH. Cote is reviewing but hearing for medical reasons only will you be approved. Again Tim stated just following the rules that were already in place. Liar!
