1207 up for sale in the new year. Expect people to be moved to engines, deer value and a few other locations. Get ready to enjoy your extra journey time so you can collaborate and all that other company crap in some cramped offices.
A very strong rumor that will gain speed soon. There is a project to do this very thing.
I don't think they can get all of Phx under a single location however they do want to downsize Phx foot print. I believe they can achieve this by moving into Deer Valley. Not sure how they move labs but depending jus deep pockets run and how bad they want it. If you're in Tempe now, take a look at Deer Valley and 19th ave for a drive cus that's next.
Projects don't always start with the location it impacts as this affects several sites thus the "T" comment is N/A
They did the same thing in MN a few years ago. Want everyone under one roof. Probably why everyone had to stop working remote to see how much space is really necessary.
While is is possible that the entire site could be sold in the future due to sending manufacturing out of the country, closing all buildings at once will be difficult. The 1207 is just part of the total campus, with the 1201, 1230, Cafeteria, and outlying specialty buildings. It was easier to divest the old buildings years ago that were "outside the fence." This fits firmly into the "rumor" category. And the CU was NOT in the 1207, but was recently moved to the 1230, in the badge shop's prior location. If anyone hears of a new secret Honeywell project with a name beginning with a "T" then we might give it some credence.
I didn't know the Aero CU been located inside 1207. I thought it always been in West pk lot and recently moved to badge shop building in the East side.

As a frequent visitor to1207 building and Tempe site; I think the sale of 1207 bld or tower is highly possible. Yes, there're recent spray paint marks of utility lines surrounding this bld. Inside, all floors aren't 100% occupied, cubicle residents could be consolidated in other on site blds or newly arranged gofer farm aka. open office.
To be able to sell it is different story, since it will require a lots of renovation to be up to date codes and be attractive. For example; all elev cars are squeaky old and smell like bathroom.
The cost to relocate all other blds with mfg and test functions would be outrageous and not cost affective.
So, 1207 will be on sale with having a tough time to find a buyer. The rest of Tempe blds and operations will not be touch until HW turns into an IiOT software company.
No complete sell off and moving. This action is not only for 1207 but the site.
Sell building and lease back a floor.
It's all part of down sizing Phoenix foot print. Too many sites, too much sq, ft. Plus they can sell Tempe and make $$$$ as it's not leased.
Up for sale. Tempe is moving to sky harbor or deer valley.
