Leadership say they're getting a 5% pay cut in January be they still need to work. Make it 10% and let real workers get paid.

There are some exceptions. I was told that salespeople will not be affected. I also wonder if any of the leaders that will be attending the senior leadership meeting are also exempt? Customers should really wonder about dealing with HBT when they can't get any support the first week of the year from U.S operations...I think that speaks volumes about the leadership of this company and their lack of understanding when it comes to customers and employees.

Dear HBT Colleague,

The Leadership Team has implemented an unpaid leave action, or furlough, in the U.S. and Puerto Rico for the work week of Monday, January 2, through Sunday, January 8. We would like to give you some specific guidance on how the furlough will be implemented.

You will be prohibited from performing any work during the furlough week. Your unpaid time will be time off from work. You may not check your email, answer your phone or work on your computer. Most employees will be required to lock up work equipment and electronic devices, or certify that they did not perform any work. The Honeywell system will be audited, and anyone who violates the guidance or falsely certifies compliance may be subject to discipline.

In addition, the attached document highlights additional requirements and restrictions of the furlough, as well as out-of-office templates.

We appreciate your support with this process. If you have any specific questions, please reach out to your HR Generalist.

my husband just got the mass email from HR VP that mandatory furloughs will be in effect first week of January 2017 for all of HBT and HSF is under HBT
