So how, exactly is she adversely affected by a bunch of whiners on this site?

Trust me she is affected by negative publicity. If she was a great leader she would not be on this post. With so many comments focused on one individual something isn't right. But please continue since your so happy like the rest of us that you find yourself on layoffs.

Thought it was a very informative meeting and was a great attempt to address all the questions and issues that have been brought forth here and otherwise. It was smart and also a message to the haters that she's not threatened by the negative comments here because she knows who she is and what she believes in. Much respect to Q-T! Honestly, the more ugliness and disrespect I see on this site just makes me want to support her even more! So keep posting!!

Why are you on the layoff site? You should have better things to do. Mind your business. You have no control. Bye.

I say, leave her the hell alone. No, I am not an HR Mole, but have worked with her extensively over the years, know her well and, my opinion is that she is excellent.

However, I can understand that some people always see the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. If that's you, rather than complain on this board, go find another job.

Really a VP that throws her direct reports under the bus but still gets a 1. There has been some real BS posted on here but that is the best yet. Please keep posting, it's a little like Trump's tweets, entertaining even though we know they are not particularly accurate.

I find it hard to believe that Q-T would throw her people under the bus to get a better rating for herself. If she throws everyone under the bus then that doesn't make her look very good! I'm also positive her relative performance is not compared to those on her team, so competing for a 1 or 2 for herself (which isn't the current scoring system anyway) is really just nonsense! Also, no one knows where they landed yet, so to say all her direct reports are upset and as a result are posting on linkedin because of it doesn't make sense....unless they are all communicating with the HR mole (unlikely). If they are looking for new jobs, I don't think it's because of performance reviews.

WRONG!!!! A mole in HR looked up her rating, and found that she threw several of her managers (direct reports) under the bus so that they now are posting on Linked In and looking. Reason she did it was to leave 1s and 2s unavailable for others in GSC so she could pitch that SHE should get a 1. IT WORKED!!

Because of all the complaining on this board, with so many pointing out her general lack of knowledge for one in her position, she is getting a bad rating this year. Lance was not arounfpd to defend her...

To: @KLc7fIz-Mtmp "The less experienced, but no less talented, folk are left behind with long term goals in mind."....So those who are experienced and have paid the price to increase skills, knowledge and experience should not resent being kicked to the curb because we are of no long term value? Those who are not close to retirement age and have much to offer are somehow expendable? This is a major red flag for anyone looking to look to our industry for a career.

Oh yes....and the games continue with T very quietly bringing back some of those "retired" experienced hands who are now...."contractors"...Two that have been brought back will never be any kind of a threat. I respect these two...but not the way that T is going about it. Anyone who "rocked the boat" or didn't fit the cheer leading rah rah were purged with all of the layoffs. MOC still doesn't want anyone who will speak up about what really should be done...A@#$ and S#$% heaven. Only those and the back stabbers are left.

@KLc7fIz-Mhti

It’s not up for debate that a lot of very experienced folks have been pushed, but they were also the expensive folks. The less experienced, but no less talented, folk are left behind with long term goals in mind. This is company-wide and not GSC specific. This logic was probably applied to Tracie getting the role in the first place.

Now is Tracie really threatened by anyone in GSC? I wouldn’t think so. There is only one leader from within who would NOT be overwhelmed by the role and I am sure he is already firmly in the succession plans should Tracie be tempted to go elsewhere or get promoted further.

To KLc7fIz-Mvqt 2 posts down... I agree that companies have a little wiggle room but if you take a look at the pay grade position chart that's out in the website each promotion meant a jump in pay grade.... going from $90K to around $120K a year isnt a little wiggle room....

She does not want to keep her best talent, as it left some time ago. That talent threatened her, as she has little understanding of the technical side of the business and zero field experience. However, the departure of the heavily experienced & competent folks has given some of the rest of us a chance to move up. But, you have to admit, she ran off anyone who could've possibly competed with her.

Fair or not, I think most companies have a little wiggle room to retain their most regarded and valuable employees. Not saying it's fair to all the others who have worked hard and deserve a little something, I just think that's how it is.

This board got pretty quiet... let's start it back up! Anybody wanna wager whether or not a certain CM that got promoted twice last year (when they were supposedly not promoting anybody and certainly not granting pay increases!) will get another promotion after review time? I got $20 that she will!

Nope, I'm not an HR troll and am far from being one of her "lackeys". I just love what I do, work as hard as I can, respect the leadership in place, and have faith that my hard work will pay off one day. I'm not brainwashed, I don't play the games, and I don't kiss butt. I just don't see the point in perpetuating negativity, as it doesn't accomplish anything productive. Instead of name calling those who don't share your same feelings, let's hear what you will do to help change the environment and the feelings you and others share. If you want change, how can you be a part of the solution given what you have to work with?

Obviously you one of her lackeys, pitiful. I feel sorry for you. There is no allegiance. I see this here every day. In the corporate world (especially mro gsc) it is everyone for themselves. Open your eyes.

So how many more people do you think GSC will lose in the coming months? Last one was a week and a half ago down in SA but I can't say that was much of a loss as I heard the business unit was quite unhappy with that person. Those of you currently commenting that are in GSC... are you looking or holding on and hoping things turnaround? I know I am looking to leave as soon as something comes along!

There is no where close to the activity on this website of the companies you mention. Some of these companies are much larger than MOC and had one post in 6 months. Take a look at this board and all the activity and comments about Blue Jeans and Lee. Disgraceful. MOC has and will have a huge retention issue.

Employee survey, ha. What a piece a garbage. We had like 10 meetings in GSC about this. I guess our managers need something to do between our forced ranking....excuse me, I mean performance reviews. They love this crap...I swear it's like their Super Bowl! Maybe Lee will head back to EM and take over for Tillerson.

I never said there hasn't been people to leave and be happy with their move did I? I'm saying in my 20+ years I've seen people coming back over and over and over again because Marathon is a good company to work for and the people on here are angry, bitter, and looking for someone else to blame for their circumstances.

I would say you didn't look very hard on other boards. Hess, "Don't trust the company", "hope you have your trunk packed", "when will management get their head out of their @ss". Oxy: "My stomach hurts every time I think about having to go to work at this place every morning", "why should I even try any more"

to the last post.. what are you smoking?.. EVERY single person that I talked to prior that had left for greener pastures have zero regret.. and admit that opportunities for advancement at MRO were limited and the lack of technical projects was clear during the end of the cazalot and start of the Lee era.. Don't kid yourself.. even at a higher oil prices.. marathon has a clear portfolio issue..

I'm not sure what boards you have looked at.. but not all boards are nearly as negative or as active as MRO's.. look at Hess.. or even Oxy.. their boards are no where as active.. granted there will be internet trolls wherever you look..

Go out and search for other companies name on this sight. You'll find similar comments in similar threads all talking about how dumb and incompetent everyone else around them is at whichever company they work for. "Not my fault"... "Someone else is to blame"... It's truly pathetic.

Angry people with nothing better to do than point a finger. But you truly do have the power to impact your circumstances. If you are unhappy, none of this... "when things turn around watch how fast I'll leave" B.S. Get going. Over the years I have seen folks leave this company for greener pastures, and time and time again I have seen many of those people return realizing they made a mistake in deciding to leave. But by all means, test the waters.

It's a miserable depressing environment. Everyone is looking and look how many have left for other companies. You cannot base the future of a company the size of Marathon on the stack and scoop rock.

Well said. Not enogh house cleaning was done this past year by T. Sad to hear you and people on your floor need to run and hide to avoid certain GSC people. Learn to stand up to them have management made aware of what they arent doing to support your org.

Please leave T alone. She is surrounded by utterly incompetent managers and an employee group which complaIns constantly. There are a couple of GSC folks we avoid when we see them coming on our floor as we're tired of their incessant carping.

T's obvious lack of experience should be covered by a team of direct reports who plug the gaps. However, and almost certainly with her active participation, the knowledgeable folks were run off because she realized many were competitors to her. To shut them up, HR gave them the option of claiming they volunteered for severance.

Now that her previous boss is gone, and his five year inability to make a buck in Eagle Ford shows his savvy, there is a new sheriff in town who recognizes her limited skills. Her major problem is lack of experience and (much more important) refusal to admit it and the new boss sees this.

None of you reading these posts benefits from her failure, as the shares you own also suffer from this. She will correct the deficiencies in her group or be replaced, and everyone in GSC could help with more collaboration and less complaining outside GSC.
