Trump is all talk, and is probably most prone to bribes than any president. Besides, every time governments threaten corporations, the corporations , in turn, threaten to move, or even declare bankruptcy, then governments pull their tails between their legs and scamper. Also, the states being impacted usually lobby the feds to back off.

What Trump is promising is nothing new, and what he may deliver, or not, may be nothing new either. But we're forced to give him the benefit of the doubt, and being hopeful is never a bad thing, but let's not hold our collective breaths.

Also, HON may be looking to make all of their major moves before Trump takes over, so look for the January RIF to be substantial, as subsequent ones may be more difficult to sell.

Trump will likely target the big aerospace companies trying to build aircraft overseas and force the suppliers to transfer technology over to those same countries. Both Boeing and Lockheed trying to build fighters in India, only problem is they are asking the suppliers to transfer technology and manufacturing to, so Honeywell loses more jobs no matter who wins

Agree with the comments about the information on this site becoming less helpful. I do think that this comes from a lot of frustration and lack of communication from the company which leads to speculation etc...

I believe that things will be pretty quiet until after the holidays, and after the leadership meeting and the release of numbers for 2016, we'll see what new surprises or cost cutting ideas they come up with.

Yeah, this was where I would go to get actual information...

Now it's just mindless gossip and complaining

Agree too! But the insane actions, and indecision, of ALT in the past year, and especially in the past few weeks, may have, intentionally, driven many to insanity.

Agreed, becoming more useless as each hour passes.

From my point of view, the last bona-fide posting was by a friendly manager giving a heads-up about the '17 vacation policy.

Too bad that, in addition to putting up with seriously egregious behavior by leadership and HR, we have to put up with the rants and rumors making up most of the posts.

Two weeks ago, this board was at least a little useful. Now, it seems to be populated by anxious 16 year old pants-wetters who can barely articulate a thought, much less spell, despite software that detects misspellings.

After 34 years, am waiting for my RIF, and will not miss either Honeywell or this Board.
