Oh don't worry. When they RIF you the HR person will say cold empathy derived canned statements like "I can imagine this is hard for you" and "We have an excellent outplacement service that you can utilize". All with the biggest fake smile they can put together. So helpful! Oh and they'll escort you out and even let you hold your box of stuff. Our Managers and HR Personnel have been trained on handling all sorts of emotional reactions with great phrases like "This decision is final" and "Your position is being eliminated" repeatedly to drive it home that your input in the process is neither necessary nor wanted. Please just shut up and let us say our script and get out as quick as possible. That would make it much easier on us. Most important of all, don't worry, your manager and the HR person smiling back at you will still be employed tomorrow, they are safe! Our biggest concern is you. As in, getting you out the door and onto the street. "Stick with us!" so we can stick it to you!

Furlough....maybe......RIF....not telling when.....10% paycut in 2017 so the Oligarcks can fly their private jets on vacation....Pay more for your insurances......no pay raise for years and years to come.......have to have 10% of your employees written up for bad performance even if they are doing a good job (oh yes they deny it...but us former managers remember the HR bell curve).......Merry Christmas..it is about all we have left after all the off-shoring.
Looking at the list some top tech company that I'm sure HON will need to compete with for employees if we want to be a software company. We aren't even a 3 or 4th choice of employer for programmers
Before Honeywell, Cote worked for General Electric and TRW. He was on the JP Morgan Chase risk committee during the period in which the firm lost $2 billion trading credit derivatives.
Wow . Where are all the other struggling aerospace companies? Maybe Harvard business review is picking on us? 8.3 with a lot of 3rd world companies.
Stay classy Honeywell.
It is really a shame to see a major US corporation going down hill like this.
The Honeywell brain dead thought that they were competing for most empty headed, not most emphatic.
The word about Honeywell is finally getting out
losers. on the same par as 3rd world and chimney sweeps
Only surprise is they weren't in the top 10. Cote's legacy.
Very interesting:
Breakdown of most empathetic --
US based = 14
Germany based = 2
UK based = 2
Swiss based = 1
Netherlands based = 1
Least empathetic --
US = 3
India = 8
UK = 8
China = 1
Not sure what this means, but HON was second to the least empathetic Mondelez.
Survey speaks volumes about HON leadership and culture.
