Bonus? Well many will get an awesome bonus of not being able to work for a week or so. A few more will get an unexpected and permanent loss of income. Keep your fingers crossed! We might just get an ice cream social afterward! That makes it all better doesn't it? Merry RIFmas everyone!
The Chrismas bonus has been replaced with an all year bone us.
The Christmas bonus and the Company sponsered Christmas Party was part of the Cliff Garret days when we were AirResearch, Garret Engines and Pneaumatic Division. This was happening during 50's, 60's 70's, 80's and into the mid nineties when we became Allied Signal and the CEO Larry Bosidy killed it off. The Garret , AirResearch name was very highly regarded in the Aerospace business in the past some of the programs we were involved it included project Mercury Gemini and Apollo and the space power system using liquid sodium as the working fluid. Thanks to the current crop of CEO's and Globalization they have done an exempliary job of killing off the Garret name and its history. Very similair to what has happened to Sperry Flight Systems.
AiResearch & Garrett had Christmas bonuses and a party as well, during which gifts were given to the children. We used to have a company that stuck together and got stuff done. Now we have this. Oh boy.

I've been here for 10 years, and in that time they've NEVER had Christmas bonuses, and have since gone as far as BANNING department sponsored Christmas/Holiday parties or luncheons.
Are Christmas bonuses a thing at HON? If so, are they still around? New employee here.
