I agree wholeheartedly. Furloughwanza, and RIFanukkah should be included equally in this season. Heck even those who don't celebrate can join in on the festivities. As we all visit family and deal with the "how's work going?" question try to avoid immediately taking 3 sips of Jack on the rocks and a redirecting the conversation to something more up beat like how 1970s Aero tech is going to make a comeback real soon. We are just at a temporary low spot is all nothing to be worried about.
Come one guys... this post is insulting to those who don't celebrate or believe in the spirit of RIFmas...
I prefer to keep it generic, such as "Season's Fleetings" or "Have a festive furloughday!"...
Be considerate, even though most people participate in RIFmas, many others do not.
Tell everyone no more work from home then paid parking and admission to get in! No outside food or drink, have to buy from the company run cafeteria! Who knew Disneyland had the entire future workplace environment setup years ago? Genius ideas keep em coming! Remember it is a privilege to work here!

Merry RIFmas to you as well! Let's all get in the RIFmas spirit by taking a moment to sit and think about what can be taken from us next. Perhaps adding pay toilets? Force us all to drive in to the site then charge us to park? Take away the 401k match? Steal our pension money back? Take vacation time away or charge us for taking it? There is still time for us to make this year's RIFmas the best one yet for dave.
