Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Now Bombardier is laying off for the second time this year

Another example of how NOT to run an aerospace company:

After that huge Canadian government bail out they're still laying off.

"Ottawa is under pressure from the Quebec government, which last year invested $1 billion in the CSeries program for a nearly 50% stake in the project, to match that investment."

Somebody has bought a bridge to nowhere!

Where is that money going? Into the owner family's pockets?

Another telling quote:

“I think it has to be very clear that the decisions we are taking are not related to our discussions with the federal government,” CEO Bellemare said. “We are doing this because we want to save jobs in Canada.”

Sounds like it isn't working. Time to clean house in management.

To be fair, Honeywell is getting all kinds of government subsidies itself. I'd bet they are non-compliant on a lot of those, such as minimum number of employees at sites.

The difference between Jack Welch and Honeywell plan is......................GE realized a few flaws in the business model and pull back.............HW still trying to run with a flaws and keeps digging a deeper hole. Soon, the support in the field will start to fade.
