Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Permanent pay-cuts and demoting out of Band 4...2 week furlough too

In a meeting in a director's office, director and other managers start gossiping about what's to come. Many Band 4 to be booted out of Band 4. That saves the remainder of the MIP. "Permanent" pay-cuts, And it was so strongly hinted that we use our vacation now, that we should expect the furlough end of 2016 and another beginning of 2017. Apparently not to be announced til many people don't have enough time to burn off vacation.

BTW in my dept the involuntaries seem to be mostly managers and was related to # of reports.

They sleep very well. The employees are just numbers.

" Cote and the board will receive their millions this year, all at the expense of their employees (the heart & blood of the company) . I really don't know how they can sleep at night."

How can the not sleep well at night with all of the money the make? Hundreds of millions in the bank--that's how they sleep at night!

Honeywell has managed themselves into an ugly corner, all of the process driven bologna and emphasis on HOS and manufacturing initiatives have been nothing but an unmitigated disaster. They've got no other choice but to put this sick dog down and move on to something or somewhere else. They do a terrible disservice to the employees and shareholders all while lining own their pockets and I look forward to parting ways with this lousy organization on all fronts.

Honeywell is a good Company, but from T. Mahoney to the lower manager most of them are not qualify to manage so company, since Mahoney the boss from Aerospace and the number from un direct worker and managers has doubled, and now many employees should layoff or they have to take unpaid furlough, honeywell must work to change its structure and T. Mahoney must go home.

This could well go on for years. It's been happening at IBM for 15.

They already laid off all the good people who do the real things. Now they have to learn to make their hands dirty - either with shxx, or with blood....

I'll just wait for my turn to be laid off while looking for a better job, whatever comes first, I'll just have to bear with the stupid leaders yelling at me and trying to break my cool, come on Honeywell get rid of me! Show me the money!!!

They sleep well....like most of the 1%......because of silk sheets and lighted fireplaces. Wake up America - this type of action has and will continue to be the rule of law thru many years to come. Look within yourself.....play the work game hard and make it happen for yourself and your family. Look away from the logos and company brand names that you represent. Work for yourself - at the end of the day - its all just a GAME. (no dice and game pieces included). Best everyone!

The best revolt you can do is this: don't leave so they have to continue paying you. Do as little work as humanly possible. Sabotage projects and add in delays so targets are routinely missed. Davy and Timmy are liars; they are going to continue the abuse on employees untill well into 2018. This is my revolt! Pay me while getting less and less value.

Maybe it's time for all employees to revolt. They can't fire us all, the higher ups would have to take over and we all know they don't like to get their hands dirty, and don't know how to work either.

The push out of Band 4 has started long ago, most realize it now because of the rifs. The reason can't be just the MIP, they were not fully paying it anyway. It has to do most likely with salary levels and other minor perks, vacation, etc., trying to squeeze out whatever they can. Notice the vast majority of open reqs are for Band 3, regardless of skill or education level......

This company is without a doubt the worse company you could work for. They show a revenue of 40 billion, yes, that right, with a B and then they turn around and s--- everything they can out of their employee's. Healthcare is a joke. We're paying ridicules premiums for basically major medical. Instead of pay raises were are now going back in time by means of furloughs and 10% pay cuts. They have proven over & over that the employees are just a number and when your number comes up, you are walked out. All we can pray for now is that they sell the company to someone who cares about human lives. Cote and the board will receive their millions this year, all at the expense of their employees (the heart & blood of the company) . I really don't know how they can sleep at night.
