The Tier 1s are good properties, with decent production and reserves, the kind of stuff you could build a real oil company out of, lean and mean, and make a safe and clean profit with oil down to about the $20 to $25 a bbl range.

I don't think that you should be blaming the entire state of Texas for Chevron's fiascoes but say what you want and insult people like a coward from the safety of your PC all night long if you like and it makes you feel like the man that you aren't in real life and will never be.
