Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Tucson division so far 2 managers and a facilities worker non-voluntary. At least 10 voluntary this Friday.

But it is hiring contract workers to replace the production workers that took the voluntary RIF. We have had it with managment and HOS. We have lost dozens to Rayheon because of it, so many that we actually received a merit raise last July in an effort to get us to stay when the rest of Honeywell did not get one.

Tucson engineering no longer designs anything. They just babysit engineers in low cost countries. No reason for an engineer to stay. Plus, we have process paralysis. Hopefully I get acepted for volunteer Rif next time.

Yes theres a joke over at Raytheon, as long as Honeywell keeps running business they way they do, they're sure to sell the Oro Valley site soon. Raytheon higher ups want those mountain views! Keep on working your magic Honeywell you're doin great! :)

Will Mexicali take on Tucson & Torrance and that is why they will leave skeleton crew basically on these two sites? Get that wall!

One word. For Tucson..... "Tailwind".

Say it to anyone in upper management at Tucson and watch their face.

Tucson site is a ghost town. Walk around the 2nd floor and the majority of the cubicles are empty. Even more after today. The site leader thinks we are still over staffed. I don't think it will be shut down any time soon but don't expect to see any new faces. And really, its no surprise people keep leaving to work at Raytheon. Engineers can get huge pay raises ($10k+ more a year) by going to Raytheon, especially if we continue to get NO pay raises.

You are wrong to blame a good operating system for your division's problems... Your leadership .... I get it.. But HOS ? You obvious don't understand it.

If you ran your own operation you would probably want to copy the Honeywell operating system concepts .

Say what you want, but if you understood the concepts you would realize they make a lot of sense .

Give it 12 months max and Tucson will be closed with the work moved to Mexicali - just my opinion.
