Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Is the hack and slash over...for now at least?

Will this continue the remainder of the week?

Don't worry everyone. If you weren't included in this latest RIF, you still have one more opportunity to get walked in 2016, and no less than 4 opportunities in 2017. The RIFs will continue along with quarterly furloughs so keep your head up, work as hard as you can, don't tell customers that we are fvcking you all over, and stay focused on making Dave cote rich! They need you all to produce more than ever since they're letting all these people go. Basically, work extra extra hard until your name is called to get walked out.

Just heard in a staff meeting that they are done with "our group" in Deer Valley. But I think it's still going on with different groups in the site. Heard it could go until 1700 hrs today.

Yes direct employees who volunteered this time but were not given VRIF were told to get their request in for VRIF the next time. Some indirect voluntary RIF employees were asked to work through this Friday and others left after the exit interviews. Very disappointed how the company and HR handled this RIF. The poor (non) communication over the past 8 weeks plus has cost the company much, i.e., morale, productivity and faith in their employer.

It sounds like if you put in for the RIF and rejected, then you were given the opportunity to volunteer for future RIFs, is that correct? Or did a general email come out asking for volunteers for the next RIF? If so, to what group?

Is that true about HR asking for volunteers for next RIF? I am in Aero and haven't gotten an email to that effect.

If it is all over why did HR tell people if they want to volunteer for next RIF,have it in by Friday?

Layoffs will continue for the foreseeable future until the number are met or AERO is sold. This is not a slump.

Little did we know the Project Normandy cost takeout project was just a euphemism for mowing down your employees with a machine gun

Hoping for a VP to be let go from ISC today. Betting on "Operational Excellence" since that has been a completely false title since inception.
