Don't forget to something awesome with your name plate if you're laid off. A previous post suggested sticking it on the bathroom door as you leave since you'd "just been flushed." That's genius pure and simple. What other options can we come up with here? Find your sense of humor and keep it. Even if you are laid off this week, there's something better for you. There's life beyond COP and you'll be ok. Do something cool with your nameplate on your way out the door. Show the ba$t@rds they didn't beat you. I want to see this site blow up tomorrow with #nameplatechallengestories.

There was an old rumour that there were a few Covey Ducks and eggs in the main pond from a previous layoff going back to the early 90's.
It's not childish at all. Keep judging how others manage such a miserable and stressful situation and maybe it'll be you that gets shown the door. I don' t wish that on anyone, not even you, Judgey, but come on down off your moral high ground long enough to see that some folks just need to have a laugh at the ridiculousness of the lousy leadership that has led us to years of repeated layoffs. I don't know how you manage your stress, but I wouldn't judge you for it. THAT would be childish my friend.
I think it'd be great if you all threw them in the main pond.
