Don't put anything in your Out of Office.

Don't put anything in your Out of Office while we're out on Furlough. Let the customers get pissed when they get no replies. They will be pissed at Honeywell.

Retired in the spring, so out of touch a bit, but is H telling people people not to mention furlough and rules about it such as NO work allowed, AT ALL, period, full stop, in their Out of Office reply?

Since we're not "allowed" to talk about the furlough to customers etc., I'll add the OOF so they aren't mad at me personally. I'll let them know that was the "suggested OOF my company wanted for our current situation" and leave it at that. They all know what's happening anyway.

Reading it again, your right, doesn't look like your forced to put anything in your "out of office".

I'll just leave it blank. I doubt there going to be looking for people's out of office.

Great choices we have if we don't comply with Honeywell's furlough instructions; disciplinary actions including terminations. So you can get terminated, RIF'd or laid off. It's great that a company can give you all these choices.

Received an e-mail last night stating that if you do not comply with all the furlough instructions you are subject to disciplinary actions including termination.
