Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Please.....get it over with, for your sake, and everyone else's.

Why won't those sadistic idiots just do one big cut and get it over with? This slow torture of three layoffs, furloughs, reduced benefit, threat of salary cuts, all in one year is not healthy for anyone, especially in the morale department, and most certainly not in the productivity department. Job security, or at least some semblance of it, motivates. while uncertainty demoralizes. They are probably not smart enough to know the difference and/or the impact on their own bottom lines.

It is extremely difficult to feel motivated and keep working, while sitting on pins and needles, and with the ever present threat of a shaft looming under us, several times a year, for the foreseeable future.

By having multiple RIFs spread out over a long enough period, they avoid triggering the WARN act.

@OP- they're doing it this way on purpose to both incentivize people to leave on their own, and not spook wall street. A massive layoff looks like poor company health while slower, smaller RIFs can be explained with lies to look like cutbacks due to HON being just too darn efficient.

In 2017, you can look forward to 4 weeks of furlough and continued RIFs to ensure the stock peice stays high for Davey boys exit and subsequent stock sell off.

Revoking the work from home benefit was supposed to anger people into leaving so that HON doesn'thae to pay severance.
