I know volunteering for the coming RIF sounds so attractive. Most of us would love to get out of here.
My question is this. When you are nearly 59 years old, you are too young to retire yet too old to realistically land a decent new job (statistics show most, no matter how vast your experience- will be lucky to get a job paying 40-60% less- if you are over the age of 50) what do you do? Ride it out and hope to not be laid off? Volunteer? Or just go with the flow, knowing it is all out of your hands anyway? S---s right?!
I've read many posts about only 'losers' sticking around but that isn't true. How many of you are on the same position I am?
Again to those under 45 years old. Get out while you still have good earning potential.
I wish the best to us all-
