Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Age discrimination.

For the older employees, I actually saw a picture of a table showing age versus years experience and where the sweet spot is considered to be.

I walked into a war room and someone had left it on the board, I took a quick picture of it just in case.

This particular area was being used for a moving of a site within Aero and they were going to RIF a certain %. I believe they were using this excersize to determine who stayed and who was cut.

May come in handy one day.

As is suggested it may apply to a site that is closing/moving. Could it be the site where the chart has been discovered? Anyway, in the recent RIF, many people over 60, and even over 65 at one site, who had volunteered, were denied. They prefer you quit or die, by torturing you.

So here's how I see it, age or otherwise: Honeywell is being hollowed out by Cote & Friends. The company will be broken up into smaller pieces and sold off to the highest bidder. The bennies have been reduced to next to nothing, bonuses -----> will be phased out for those in Band 4 and lower, there's an ongoing herd culling each time the bar is raised to new heights of the absurd as they do things like limit the option of working from home. Or chronic rounds of layoffs and riffs. Those who have the option of leaving, should be looking elsewhere for work. Honeywell has nothing to offer anymore. It's on the chopping block. 401ks can be rolled over, those of us who will have pensions can invest them elsewhere, health insurance plans are interchangeable for many of us. The writing is on the wall. Take note.

Sweet spot was shown at 40 YO and 20 years experience. In a block outside the chart it had 40 >15 years = mature,

I'm hesitant to say where this out yogetger for or part ft it here.

Callin bs. They regularly bring back retirees on contract right after riffing younger employees.

It's a form of Eugenics and is now being practiced at most U.S. corporations. I doubt they have the true numbers to back it up that older people must be gotten rid of to "save money".

In the city I live in, nearly all the major corporate employers get rid of people starting in their 40's, and everybody knows it. Either that or they make you leave by burning you out, abusing and/or working you to death. So being in my 50's it's very hard to find any employment even if you are very adaptable and have a good work history and references.

I think we're in sort of a "Logan's Run" situation. Might as well bring on just zapping us with lasers when we turn 40, while telling us we're "going to a better place". That will keep the corporate bottom lines "safer" in the world of the mob establishment.
