Q: if working for Honeywell s---s so bad, why don't the crybabies just go work for another company?
A: 1) it doesn't s--- that bad, 2) the economy does s---, and 3) no one wants to hire a sniveling crybaby.

Obviously, you either don't work at Honeywell or you've already got your nose in Dave's a$$. Either way, you don't know what the f-- you're talking about.

I hope you were being sarcastic when you said Honeywell does not s---. We are not sniveling crybabies, we just care about suppliers, customers and fellow employees. I guess Dave Cote never learned "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. He only cares about himself and the shareholders, at the expense of everyone else.
I did my 8 hours in the office and went home, leaving my laptop in the office. No work for me tonight or this weekend.. i've done that for the last time. If the company does not want to be flexible with me then I'm unwilling to be flexible back.
I used to like that I could work from home a few days here and there but to have to justify to HR, who are a bunch of idiots, there is no point. I'm strictly an 8 hour a day man going forward. No meetings before the time I get to the office and no meetings after the time I leave the office.
It will be a shame but the collaboration will not be increasing seeing as not all of the people I work with are in my office or timezone, so it will actually get worse.
Thank you for not trusting me Honeywell, you have helped me make my mind up about looking for a new job. Resume update just started now that I'm at home and finished work earlier than I normally do on a Friday.

Torrance RIF.... No one age group was targeted. Mostly got rid of deadwood. If you fall into that category, you will probably get laid off in January. I think only a few people abuse WFH and really do nothing, but those people s--k even when they are at work. I am much more productive at home without all the interruptions. If any of us owned a company and were paying for building space, I think anyone would want to know what your employees were doing or not doing, however we do have Lync and talking to someone is only a click away. Even though I was in "Fire-fight" mode after the furlough, none of the leadership wanted to hear anything was delayed. I tried to explain we are now one deep in many areas and people were laid off to the point where we can no longer support the elaborate process that has been put in place. The company knows that most responsible employees will try and catch up with their work because it is "Human Nature" to succeed. I will work at Honeywell as long as it makes financial sense to do so for me. I am having a meeting today to figure the gaps in a process or process breakdown with some sr. directors, he invited our site leader, but didn't know he quit last month and no interim Site Leader has been identified... LoL
Bottom Line: I'm just doing the best I can while I am work only and that's it!!!!! Remember "Work/Life balance" They can forget about calling me on weekends for month end and Qtr. end support, my laptop will be locked up at work....My advice, if a good Job opportunity comes your way, take it and jump ship.
I was hoping to retire from Honeywell, but I guess that is not happening. I am now just milking the cow until they laid me off. :-)
