Should accrued unused vacation include shift differential?

I saw the writing on the wall, and self nominated/volunteered for the latest RIF in anticipation that there will be more, and more severe to follow. The reason was that I didn't see the current business model as sustainable for the long term, and I don't think corporate is willing to admit that. In anticipation, I began applying and interviewing and found there to be ample opportunities, so much so that I was made an offer before the RIF happened and left voluntarily (properly submitting my two week notice and performing my duties until I walked out the door). My question is: I worked 3rd shift and received a shift differential. I got my final statement today, and I believe that from what I read on the corporate website before leaving that all (we will call it terminal for lack of a better word) vacation paid back shall include any shift differentials that the employee would have normally incurred. Mine didn't. Does any one have any information on his?

I don't believe it does. You are eligible for "base pay" which does not include shift differential.
