Expect the layoff to be significant. HW is concerned that if they continue to have layoffs and furlough looming that their best people will leave. They want to stabilize their workforce for the 2017 decline in revenue.

Not all the good ones have left! But i"m going now!
I was one of those good engineers that was "adsorbing" additional responsibilities because it was cheaper to not fill positions and have salaried employees work 16 hour days. But once I continued to see good people leave and not be filled (or some numb nuts fills it) it was time to move on, even at the cost of taking a pay cut. But changing companies and being able to see how a TRUE chemical company should function (team work not chopping block), I have never been in greener pastures. Words of advice, get out while you have your health and sanity.
It is a little too late to worry about that. Most of the good folks already left.
All Honeywell employees should judge the company by its actions and take the appropriate actions. Start working your next best or better option...
