"Reached the bottom of the cycle" spoken like a true politician.....no one can foresee the future. Its a service company- you have to wait for the clients first...what the client does determines the bottom not oil.

He also said SLB was going to start increasing prices to its clients. That will go over well.
I guess since he's fired so many people there aren't enough left for every job so he doesn't mind seeing HAL and BHI pick up more work.
Thats the key. Treat us with dignity. We have generated millions in revenue over the years. There is bunch of newer managers who have come in from outside without any understanding of what we have contributed over the years. And these new managers feel no shame in making negative and unpleasant comments about senior employees past. What a shame.
His job is to increase price of SLB stock. What he said was carefully phrased. By getting rid of another 16K employees since January, he insinuated that there won't be business rebound anytime soon. Just removed surplus cost.

Agreed. He is just priming the board for a bonus check.
