Thread regarding Follett layoffs

What is B&N doing that we aren't ?

From Yahoo FInance: "As of late, it has definitely been a great time to be an investor in Barnes as BNED has earned itself a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), meaning that its recent run may continue for a bit longer, and that this isn’t the top for the in-focus company."

Give B&N about 2 years. They will be in the shape that Follett stores are in the last couple of years. They are out there signing contracts and giving away their profits. That's what Follett has been doing and it's catching up to them. Seriously, I never understood why Follett has these GVP's negotiating contracts when they don't know the meaning of profitability. I hope the new CEO changes this practice.

Forward thinking management. Knows who their customers are. Listens to the boots on the ground. Have you been in any of their stores? Enough said.

Not firing everyone in the organization that holds the knowledge, ins and outs of the book industry? Just a guess.
