Every time I see a nimrod post a message about BP buying out COP, I just laugh. Just shows people aren't caught up with business news.

He should resign. Bad news is he will collect a lot of dough for them to get rid of him. Even worse news if COP is bought by BP.

whether he resign or not on Jul 28 (which I really doubt) the board will need him to deliver the bad news first, then will decide his fate. This is how modern-corporate works.
Not sure if you have a credible source or not, but Ryan's resignation/termination does seem imminent. Time for a lot of them to go (including MANY next-level managers) and fresh leadership to try and salvage what remains.
