Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Layoff at Seagate US sites

It seems not many Seagate US people will be affected this time. Seems most reductions will be in Asia.

Early this week, Shakopee plan manager started asking people willing to move to Longmont already.

Not many people want to move, they want the packet and get out of Seagate to look for different places.

This plan will be soon closing.

SHK shutdown has been the prevailing rumor for months... likely just a matter of time.

The majority of US workers at Seagate in the US are Indian? Hmm...I work for Seagate in Colorado and frequently travel to Minnesota and California. There is definitely not an Indian majority. Maybe a minority, actually! Stating that most workers are Indian (and that's why there won't be layoffs in the US this round) is pretty inaccurate.

Because majority of worker in US is Indian. And Indian is protected, just see what happen in Intel.
