Wow. Just got back from forced furlough and now we get an email.from Mahoney announcing more layoffs shortly. Nice.

I thought Defense and Space was going to pick up the growth slack...
Its the new business model. Furlough, then layoff, furlough, then layoff. Yet, several times each week we get an Organization Announcement with a new layer of a Senior Director, Senior Vice-President, President, etc. Sad state of affairs for what used to be a terrific company to work for....
We were told the furlough was to prevent layoffs, but here we are less than two weeks later. Organization is extremely top heavy. Corporate needs to take a long hard look in the mirror before affecting those below.
I am so sorry for all my friends still there. I was furloughed last year around the holidays, came back and was later off first week in Jan. Its very difficult times. I loved it when I worked at HON...but pray for those almost ready to retire, pray for those that have young families.....HON used to be THE place to work. Best of luck to all my friends
