Intel should NOT have exited out of the mobile race, instead - 10B spent needs to be part of the long term plan. Intel should have purchased before any others: TI, Nvidia, or Qualcomm - if possible:
Here is what I see as the future:
-
Your smart phone will literally carry EVERYTHING you care /work/home about -
-
Your smart phone IS your work PC - Think a cradle at your desk - you drop in..BAM - Your three monitors now are alive -Cadence/allegro, excel, web development - NO ISSUE at all, your phone is MORE than powerful - or some back room server helps out with processing for say movie rendering/editing- .
-
Home - again you come home drop your smart phone in a cradle - Bam your are now able to upload todays pics, videos and, answer calls, text etc-voice activated.
-
I see Android as the ONLY OS for EVERYTHING - IOS will be secondary
-
Yes, all your data will be uploaded/off loaded into the cloud without any issues, everywhere - free wifi everywhere - it is coming or already here in some towns.
For Intel to ONLY be part of the cloud..well..that is only 10% of the picture - Thoughts?
