Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Pack your bags

User Opinion: If you are PP&C in Clearwater, pack your bags. ETS is outsourcing techs to PR as well as engineers.

MCOE is taking cuts, if you are software outside of SWCOE, pack your bags.

If you are a systems or program engineer with low yield and EEI, pack your bags.

If you are a manager with less than 8 employees that have low yield and EEI, pack your bags.

If you are HR, you are safe until the next quiet round. Less people means less HR, pack your bags.

All AME is safe and most touch labor from ISC. I also heard they are looking into outsourcing quality and reliability functions to PR. 99% of techs are safe, unless you do something stupid. Managers will be replaced by supervisors and some Sr managers are going bye bye. If you don't play the yield and EEI game, pack your bags. Key: <1.1EEI pack your bags.

Honeywell only cares about the bottom line.

If you have stock, buy more.

They want to drop the dead weight to speed up the stock prices. Raytheon is hiring in Clearwater and they want the best Honeywell engineers and technicians. If you have a clearance, Raytheon wants you.

As for me, I just packed my bags.

The most popular goals and objectives for the employees careers at the Clearwater location is when they can retire/leave.

Totally agree - everything is strategic on the part of Honeywell. Announcements, timing, and leaked information is intended to get as many people as possible to jump ship so the company doesn't have to pay benefits to laid off employees. With the added benefit to the company of many older people choosing to retire sooner rather than later which makes another potential age discrimination lawsuit less viable.

Guys, wake up. They aren't "losing" talent. It's planned attrition. You think their announcements and RIF timings aren't orchestrated on purpose. It's designed to make people leave . They have bigger plans in mind and it includes a much smaller workforce.

We are losing a lot of smart people in Clearwater. Honeywell needs to focus on talent retention and invest in new technologies. The "bottom line" mentally of our senior leadership is destroying innovation and hampering real growth. They have now discontinued Six Sigma requirements for all new engineers. Not the right direction to go. We need to invest in our people to foster real growth.

We hired multiple people in CLW in the last few months. Your comments are partially accurate, but mostly reflect a poor attitude which will be shared with Rathyeon.

Enjoy being unhappy there too!

I think all employees of Honeywell should pack their bags. Then Cote can have his organic growth all to himself.
