I also work there, and I am no longer proud of our uninspired leaders. Every communication from them is we did great at this obvious decision we made too slowly, or the market is bad. There is no personal responsibility on their part for some of our bad choices in strategy. getting into deep water just to get out is just one example. Another is the stupid and greedy dividend till they made the "tough" choice to cut it. It was tough because of all the fat cat stock options. There is horrendous communication to us worker bees, and a general lack of concern for the human resources spreadsheet entries we are. I have seen talented people let go and losers given jobs. This company to me is a warm body in a cold night, that is all. The company has made it clear they owe me nothing, and I sure as heck owe them nothing but my current work. As soon as things are better and there are more jobs out there I am gone to greener pastures.

I am proud to work here at COP. In the 10 years that I have been here I have worked on three of the true game changing projects and have had a huge influence on many young Engineers. There are many people who are happy to work behind the scenes and support the company. It very sad to read these comments and think these people work here. If you don't like working here or upset that they aren't doing it your way, there are thousands of companies hiring. It is no the fault of the ELT that oil fell so low, but I am grateful that our company has the ability to withstand it, we will certainly be here long after al the other E&P are gone. I am proud to be here and I am ConocoPhillips and earned my place here!!!

Largest? What are they bragging about anyway? The stock price is depressed, debt load is high, dividends all but gone, massive layoffs over the past year and more coming, assets being sold... If they really are the largest, which is debatable they wont be much longer. The fact that CoP is big, if indeed they are, doesn't mean they are going to make it...

It's a good thing that Conoco is big because because a lot of the little ones won't make it in this bust! The list is growing every day .
