Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

HPD instructions for managers is to discuss 9 block with the employee and document it in the development needs section. This allows the employee to know where they stand and not have to wait to get the feedback. Also ask employee about any interest in relocation. It's not the main RIF driver but could become a factor. Big target is cost and span of control, managers without 9 people are at risk. Heard mid-Sept for actions, but hopefully it happens much sooner, I know high performers who started looking outside the company and actually getting interviews, we will lose some good ones if this drags out.

Any forced ranking system creates the Enron effect... Forced ranking systems drive a Darwinian business culture and bad things ultimately happen...
