All the good QC people I knew where laid off over the years. They kept the worst.
quality lawyers? really? one of their lawyers conspired with a scientist to steal a patent in the UK. So the lawyer was fired and moved back to Colorado where he's practicing law again. No problem - unless you live in Colorado and hire an ex-SLB lawyer.
agree, that's just a drop in the hat. 300-400 more layoffs will cover the costs no worries
It is about transformation and how we do our business
Previously we spent money on quality products. Now we spend on quality lawyers.
Shame!
That's only 400 employees to knock of the list. No worry, we are pros at it now
I keeping my fingers crossed it bankrupts Shlumberger. I hope Hess puts the screws to those heartless, greedy bastards. Payback time.
Which shop? Schlumberger or Cameron's?
I hope Hess wins.
Schlumbergers' quality systems are the worst of any company I have ever worked for - haphazard at best.
Poor, poor Shlumberger. The only ones I feel bad for are the working folks that may lose their jobs to cover the settlement.
