Why anyone thinks that the Intel run by Dick Taylor and BK is going to rehire a VSP is baffling to me. Every exec reminds their teams in all the Open Forums and QGS meetings that those that have been offered VSP should strongly consider it, that they are stagnant, and that they are borderline low performers.
The Intel of Dick Taylor and BK is not rehiring ANYONE that was offered ISP, VSP, or ERP. Not in a year, not in 5 years, not ever.
The "rehire" clause is a red herring attempting you to think that VSP is better than ISP. When the reality is that ISP is a better package. Monetarily they are EXACTLY THE SAME. Exactly.
With ISP you get to apply for unemployment and you don't have to sign all your rights to Intel.
With VSP, I can be rehired in a year, but you sign away all your rights to Intel and you can't get unemployment.
YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE REHIRED. BK AND DICK TAYLOR DON'T WANT YOU. THEY WANT YOU GONE. YOU ARE NEVER WORKING A DAY AT INTEL AGAIN.
Look, if you say you want VSP today so you can get ahead of the others that will lose jobs, I can understand that. But saying you want VSP and you don't want to risk ISP because you think you might get rehired, you are completely batshit delusional. DELUSIONAL.
If you got VSP offer, you are old, you make a lot of money, and you most certainly don't help Dick Taylor get the diversity numbers he wants. Why in the world you think you will ever be rehired in insanity. They want you gone, in a year, you'll be the same gender, the same color, and you'll be 1 year older.
I can't be more clear, Intel is never hiring you back. This isn't opinion. This is fact. You are an old, expensive, stagnant, and likely white male. Adding a year to your age ain't improving any of these hurdles. You are falling into their BS trap even thinking that is a benefit of taking VSP. It's meaningless. Completely, totally meaningless. They might as well have written "If you take ISP, you cannot be CEO of Intel, but if you take VSP, you can't be hired as CEO of Intel in the next 12 months without repaying your prorated amount of the severance package."
