Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

May 2016 furloughs

Honeywell is forcing its UOP employees to furlough 8 hours every 2 weeks. Giving a 72 hour paycheck instead of 80 hours. Honeywell claims that there is a financial problem yet the CEO continues to receive his millions of dollars for a yearly bonus as well as all managers receive roughly $10,000.00 on up. The rest of the employees do not receive any sort of bonus. We just get to furlough so that they can continue to receive a bonus. Either Honeywell has a financial problem or they don't. If there is one, then why all the bonus's? Either we are a team or we're not. Apparently, Honeywell doesn't see us as a team. Its a very say situation.

it is so true. How can they get away with taking away money from the worker bees & yet pocket bonuses for themselves? If you aren't going to give merit raises or bonuses to the workers then no one should be allowed to take a bonus. The company heads have great ideas to furlough & lay off people and now they are taking away national holidays to some divisions, Memorial Day & Labor day..why? cost cutting effort so the employee can't get overtime pay. Some 'brilliant' person came up with that idea & I bet they got a HUGE bonus to come up with it. It just isn't right that they are squashing the people that are bringing in the money for them. FED UP!!!
