Lol. Nvidia was on a death bed about 2-3 years ago when it made the decision to invest heavily in wireless chips, and LTE modems...They failed. Miserably.
BUT, they quickly realized that and then refocused on what they are good at.. Graphics GPU, and now they are back on top.
Broadcom (now avago) lost their edge in wireless connectivity when it spent most of its energy on LTE (not once, but 3 times, at the same time). There were 3 acquisitions and 3 parts of the company working on a different LTE chip to see which one got done first. All 3 failed miserably. One Broadcom refocused back on connectivity, it was back on top.
Intel, though it took a long time, probably finally figured out they too wasted a boatload of money on LTE and wireless connectivity, and at best will be a C- player. Once they get out and refocus on its core competency, they too will be back on top... I'll give it about another year or two, ousting of BK maybe another round of major layoffs after another bad quarter before intel wakes up.
Meanwhile, if you currently don't own intel shares, I'd wait. If you current own intel shares, I'd hold on and wait for the recovery. A 3.4% dividend isn't bad. Better than that 1%CD you might get if you are a lucky, lol.
