Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Reward performance, value employees, & profits will follow !

As a former 40 yr employee of Xerox, it hurts to see the deterioration of what used to be a wonderful company that inspired employees. The culture has changed dramatically in the past few years and employees are in survival mode. This obviously results in a negative atmosphere and most importantly unacceptable customer service. This environment has persisted way too long and necessitates a complete overhaul of senior management. They either don't know or don't want to know what the fundamental business & personnel issues are. In either case, they have lost many excellent employees and will continue to do so unless the environment changes quickly or Xerox is bought out by another company.

Agree 100 percent. The Senior leadership team is in denial thinking more process and structure will fix the company. At one time we were a world class organization and people respected our equipment, training and expertise. Employees were proud of the company and there was a wealth of internal resources for issues, engineering and support. I was proud to be a Xerox lifer. Those days are long gone.

The company has been gutted, and whats left are a few dedicated xeroids picking up slack and doing the best they can and a ton of corporate survivors hanging on for retirement or just collecting a paycheck. Its a shell of what the company once was. New VP's are announced or added each week it seems while service, support and account managers are let go or eliminated. Maybe someone will buy out the two newly created companies and clean house from the top down for a change because its clear 16 years of layoffs are not returning us to profitablility, maybe its time to eliminate those senior positions and start over for a change.

Get rid of Senior Management who are only in it to stuff their pockets and get another Joe Wilson in as CEO. I retired 19 years ago with 33 yrs. of service and I hot out just in time before the big recession hit - senior management has been "raping" Xerox employees for years and stuffing their pockets - and laughing all the way to the bank. A serious housecleaning of Senior management is needed - as is also the case with with the US Congress. Corruption is rampant. Executive salaries and benefits are way too high. Put Trump in charge.

I'm in total agreement with everything stated. It's so awful what is happening to Xerox! I remember when I hired on 35 years ago how Xerox use to be the number 1 company in the world to work for sadly now it one of the worst companies to work for. They response to customer sat is now is that it's the customers fault. So sad!
