Most of us got ISP due to some sort of plot set up from at least early last year. They selected target old engineers and plotted to give us S with SL4 at best, then remove us. Those categories, who setup those criteria? Many ppl can, may have SL4 for the first time but what are those conditions like, unless got EE, O in the previous year etc. Well, it is so clear they wanted to remove senior engineers and replace them with cheap labors. If so, that is their problem. Then, what is our problem? We worked like we burn our asses. So loyal to the company and even sacrificed our "family life" by working days and nights, weekends but in the end, layoffs. Well, layoff is ok though as someone said, because companies do layoffs. BTW, do we get layoff based on fair play? - this is the point. My SLM could not even answer my question why I got SL4 with solid example. It was all setup. To outside world, they announced that layoff is based on poor performance and put that shameful mark on us. Are we really a poor performer just because we are old, senior engineers? I used to work almost 24/7 while young engineers are all goofing around in cafeteria, walking around campus in groups.
I think this is what we should do but if you do not agree, that is fine.
- We are the smartest, most experienced engineers. Can we form a company, even like consultant?
I guess we can cover very wide spectrum and we can even start a new company with those numbers.
Later, other Intel's competitor can buy this if this new start up goes well.
- Each one of you deserves more than a million $. Why be happy with just barely 5month pay?
a) We got layoff via unfair/manipulated performance evaluation.
b) Those ISP criteria? All of sudden, they showed up, set up by who? from when? Should be notified
way earlier then now.
c) we were ALMOST forced to sign the agreement that we will not file a law suit against the company
by giving us a bait - extra pays.
d) We all got humilated infront of our colleagues, insulted by being escorted + marked as a poor
performer. Do you think you are really a poor performer compared to those who are left?
I don't think so. This is the worst part I guess. I was wondering if we can ask
hitechemployeelawsuit about this.
There can be many, but these are what came to my mind. We got hit, then we hit back harder, we are the engineers, and the best! No thanks to those posts "just take the package and leave!" on this. If you think so, go ahead, take the package and leave but do not try to bring splits in this forum.
How do you think? Do you all think we just take the package and leave without a word and let them feel they are the winner and they did the right thing in a right way?
