Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How do I get onto that Intel drone team and travel the world with them?

All of that hoopla looks like fairly fun to me. They give interviews, travel the world, visit exotic places, fly drones, put stuff on youtube. That beets my grunt cube work for sure. What kind of skill do I need to have to land a job on that team? When I think about it, I'd even take a pay cut, drones are here to stay, right.

you do not need a specific skill set but have to be young, and "smart-looking"

The real answer is that there is a corporate demo team. I'm not sure they're the ones doing the drones, but all the demos that are done in keynotes by the major execs are supported by the corporate demo team. They are based out of SC and OR, and will partner with different business groups for a specific demo (e.g. If there's an IoT demo, the corporate demo team will partner with the IOT folks who put the original demo together.)

It's a fun team to work for, but the hours and travel and pretty intense.

Join xiaomi. Anything new intel can come up with, the chinese can copy within a week, make it better and at small fraction of the cost

what an epic waste of valuable company resource, but hey we can lay off a few thousand seasoned people to shave some cost for such silly and useless adventure as long as it gets the intel logo infront of people. Who cares if we shoved some old people to the curb.
