Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Moving IT support to Costa Rica/Malaysia, any info?

I work at IT for a long time. A bit more than year ago Intel moved couple of dozens IT positions to CR. US folks trained them and then partially redeployed/fired.

This year I heard it will be more massive IT position moving, mostly to CR, as a part of ACT. DBAs, SAs, BAs are going to loose their jobs.

Any comments/info?

Yes, many jobs are moving to IT Malaysia, it's been going on for awhile. The IT Malaysia Director is closely linked and inner circle of Darcy Ortiz, BK's inner circle. There is a meeting in China in WW26 on plans how IT Malaysia will step up and handle manufacturing related IT roles affected due to the layoffs.
