Korat got better workmanship and cost of ownership than Penang, major volume running at Korat not surpise to me at all

If sh-- hits the ceiling fan, they still keep the R&D and prepro functions. Stable and matured products will get shifted over to Thailand. Makes more sense for them to do such a thing. They don't need a parallel slider factory.

Why would they want to shut Penang? transfer the slider operations to Thailand like WD did?
I won't be surprised .... Though every round US gets affected bad - but this time around with Target of 20M capacity reduction - it would be Asia as well badly impacted ....
