Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Please stop by your admins desk to pickup the new "Intel Values" badge.

Top 5 Intel Values:

1) Be lucky you have a job.

2) You can never have enough VP's and upper managers.

3) We will evaluate low performers annually.

4) Agree to disagree to commit to failure.

5) IOT will be the savior.

Please add any values that I have not mentioned.

Getting rid if the NIH (Not Invented Here) classic Intel approach is going to be tough. I believe this is what this purge was all about (Targetting older folks) but seeing the people leaving I know they are not the real issue. This is engrained in most people being here long enough or ones who haven't spent a day in a different succesful company.

"The arrogance that comes with those that say " this is how we do it at Intel" is what I'm hoping gets purged as part of this program. Intel is no longer the giant in the industry. Intel now has to build smart business, competitive against other great companies. It cannot afford to continue to employ such arrogance and ignorance. The way these people treat outsiders or partners is disgusting. Time to turn the hammer on those so Intel can emerge from the stranglehold of those parasites."

It's hard to imagine how Intel is going to go from the status quo to this.

The reviews for low performers are going to be a low more frequent than annual. Any dip in performance will be severely punished

Intel has been screwing its employees with any chance they had. Back to basics was one of them. low pays and no promotions which they called it total compensations. Not talking to other about your raises and options.. how about

Management is always right. Employees are slaves.

Don't you think there needs to be a replacement for "Risk Taking", like "Risk Taking to either allow someone higher up to steal credit for successful risk taking, or if it doesn't pan out, to get fired over"
