Getting rid if the NIH (Not Invented Here) classic Intel approach is going to be tough. I believe this is what this purge was all about (Targetting older folks) but seeing the people leaving I know they are not the real issue. This is engrained in most people being here long enough or ones who haven't spent a day in a different succesful company.

Intel has been screwing its employees with any chance they had. Back to basics was one of them. low pays and no promotions which they called it total compensations. Not talking to other about your raises and options.. how about

Don't you think there needs to be a replacement for "Risk Taking", like "Risk Taking to either allow someone higher up to steal credit for successful risk taking, or if it doesn't pan out, to get fired over"
