anyone close to 85 points did you receive some extra points for early retirement? in the past this normally the case but I have not heard of anyone got it this time.

I have not heard it offered to anyone at this point in time. I do know several people that were terminated with less than one year to go before they were eligible to retire. If they make you an offer then take it by all means to end the uncertainty.
I've heard of 2 to 4 points being given if close. If you are close i'd raise your hand.
