Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Is it true?

is it true some individuals have filed lawsuits against Follett? We're there named individuals or just against the corporation? Anyone hear this rumor? Very curious to this dictum.

Curious, someone posts something, then someone posts lies, lies, then sure enough it happens. Uhm....

The legal eagles in Westchester are getting as nervous as the GOP right now. There are holes to be poked, but only an experienced plaintiff attorney with employment law expertise will fully expose them. Poke. Poke. Poke.

Subpoena was delivered to retrieve EEOC information, or info on race and age. Also, Follett has slipped in certain rights to sign off in order for severance. One is not required to waiver these rights to receive severance. Some of this can be reviewed here if you believe you have a claim.

Remember, Follett will drag this out, it is there way of getting suits settled out of the spotlight.

Good luck to those seeking justice

Hey Man, take two steps back and literally screw yourself! There were layoffs two weeks ago. They pattern of brutalizing long time employees has never stopped. Trimming payroll through brutality is the order of the day.

On the other hand, you're right. No lawyer will touch a law suit just because an twit, like yourself, decides to carry out orders to brutalize staff. Being a jerk is protected. Your (general your) job is not.

I understand Follett is in serious trouble when this becomes public .

There is no lawsuit. What Follett has been up to is not criminal, or at least not interpreted as such, no matter how crappy they seem to be. If there was ever going to be one, it would have happened. It's not like this is some crowning jewel of a case for any potential lawyer. Some feelings were hurt, some individuals were more brutal and crass than others, but its time to move on from the layoffs that were now years ago.

Mark my words, there will be more job losses with Follett. Lots of them.

In other words, there is currently no active class action suit.

If names are needed to join the class, I'd love to know where to submit mine.
